This book is devoted to the awards of the Soviet Republics, which later became part of the Soviet Union and is the continuation of the publication and is already the fourth largest in the series “Encyclopedia of Soviet award” (first book – “Order of Lenin” was published in 2005, the second – “The Order of the Red Banner” – in 2006, the third – “The Order of the Red Star” – in 2008).
For the first time in the national historiography describes in such detail on the establishment of national awards, the history of their development and manufacturing order. With sufficient completeness spoken of as the very practice of rewarding and a cavalry of these awards and the corresponding award documents. We present a lot of interesting facts and documents, witnesses of mysteries awarding of a number of famous faces. For each award made detailed classification of the types and varieties.
The book provides information on the approximate number of known specimens of each species of the orders contained now in private collections and in museum collections. The book is richly illustrated and would like to specially note that many awards, documents and photographs are published there for the first time. Also for the first time given an expanded list of orders, taking into account the diversity of options and varieties; also included some trial marks. The big success was the ability to describe and make high-quality photos of the only known instance of a trial of the Order of the Red Banner of the Ukrainian SSR in 1925 sample year, as well as the trial of the Order of the Red Banner Transcaucasian Soviet Socialist Republic. Discovered and described in the book of the early versions of Order of Labor Banner of the Armenian SSR and the Red Star 3 tbsp. BNSR.
Real monuments used in the work are stored in the local museums and private collections, as well as in foreign collections of Ukraine, Germany, the United States and other countries.
The publication provides detailed data tables on the awards and the award, as well as other materials related to the Republican awards.
Used archive materials are stored in the State Archive of the Russian Federation, Department of GIM written sources, the Russian State Military Archive, as well as in foreign archives.
